"One Laptop per child is a neo-colonial Trojan horse." Do you agree with this statement? Provide reasoning. The OLPC (One Laptop per Child) is a new and non-profit association which aiming at achieve the goal of revolutionizing the education standard of children through technology. The whole world bases on different culture and education level and gaps do exist among individual countries. Internet can be seen as a new technology which bring and connect the world all together. Moreover, information is synchronous to distribute through the internet. I partly agree with this statement. Even internet is almost cover the whole world, there are some countries do not have the ability to install internet and apply computer technology. OLPC is an innovated event and association to distribute technology and information to children. However, base on different living standard and digital divide problem, OLPC’s concept cannot be accepted and applied well by all countries. Their concept would be seen as cultural invasion to some developing countries.
